Measure & mark
Use a tape measure and spirit level. Mark vertical guidelines on a dry, dust-free wall (brick, drywall, concrete or battens).

Cut to size
If trimming, use a fine-toothed handsaw across the slats and a sharp utility knife to slice the felt. Always wear a mask and goggles.

Fix to the wall
Apply high-grab construction adhesive in a zig-zag pattern, or use 38 mm black plasterboard screws through the felt at 200 mm intervals.

Finish the edges
Slot the next panel's felt lip beneath the previous slat — joins disappear. Finish exposed edges with a matching walnut end trim.
